Introduced by Sir David Attenborough and presented by TEP president and renowned environmentalist, Chris Baines, The Living Thames takes you on a fascinating journey down the River Thames, exploring its ever-changing ecology and talking to the people working to make it a cleaner and healthier place for all living things. Directed, produced and edited by Dorothy Leiper and co-produced by TEP Technical Director, Amy Pryor, the documentary is now represented by Film Volt. It has made the rounds of many international film festivals and has won a slew of awards, including Best Long-form Film in the UK Charity Awards, Best Documentary Feature in the Madrid International Film Festival and Best Nature /Environment /Wildlife Film in the World Film Carnival, Singapore.
Current nominations include Best Director of a Feature Documentary and Best Scientific & Educational Film inWorld Independent Cinema Awards, to be announced in January 2021. The Living Thames is also an 'Official Selection' for the Stockholm City Film Festival in December 2020. This will be our first festival screening in Scandinavia!
The Living Thames is proving popular on the environmental conference circuit and as a valuable resource in schools, and we hope to continue to spread our conservation message in this way. Our film will also soon be available on DVD through Amazon.
